Zinedine Zidane’s France Head Coach Contract Details Revealed

Zinedine Zidane has officially been appointed as the new head coach of the France national team, taking over from Didier Deschamps after the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for Les Bleus as one of France’s greatest football legends steps into the role.

According to the French Football Federation (FFF), Zidane has signed a four-year contract that will keep him in charge until the end of the 2030 FIFA World Cup. The deal gives him the opportunity to lead France at both UEFA Euro 2028 and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Zidane replaces Didier Deschamps, who enjoyed a successful spell as France manager, leading the team to the 2018 FIFA World Cup title and the 2022 FIFA World Cup final. The transition sees another member of France’s famous 1998 World Cup-winning squad take charge of the national team.
