Fans know him as WF DJ Harji but his parents named him Ajiroba Quadri Abiodun. WF DJ Harji in this exclusive interview with ZagaEmpire.com tells us about how it all began for him as a DJ, his background and a whole lot more.
ZagaEmpire – What’s your name and how did you come about the name, Harji?
WF DJ Harji – My name is Ajiroba Quadri Abiodun popular known as WF DJ Harji (Da Magic Finger’s). The name Harji is brought out from my surname AJIROBA, that is where I derived HARJI from. I just have to re spell it to its looks nice.
ZagaEmpire – Before you became a DJ, what other activities were you involved in back in school?
WF DJ Harji – Yes, before I became a DJ. First and foremost being a Dj has been a big dream of mine right from time but before I became a DJ I engaged my self in a skills which is “printing ” like customizing of cloth,books e.t.c.
ZagaEmpire – Did your parents object to your becoming a DJ?
WF DJ Harji – Wow, from what I can remember my parents has always been there for me, day in day out, it has not been their kind of dream job for me but it makes me happy it makes them happy, they are my biggest fan, I love so much.
ZagaEmpire – What is your relationship with ZagaEmpire?
WF DJ Harji – My relationship with ZagaEmpire has been of great influence to my music, how I got to known about ZagaEmpire was in 2016, wen I was nominated for best DJ of d year, wasn’t aware a friend told me about d nomination, with the help of God, my family, fans and well wishers I won the award, from that platform I became an official DJ.
ZagaEmpire – How do you intend to reach the level of bigger DJs like Jimmy Jatt, Sose, Humility, Consequence and Exclusive amongst others?
WF DJ Harji – Like u said getting to the level of Jimmy Jazz and others, they all started from somewhere, like were I am now, but with God and his grace, look forward in working with DJ Khalid and others, insha Allah
ZagaEmpire – You have a single featuring Damba Jay & Leke Lee, titled BA WA NBE, How is its public acceptance so far?
WF DJ Harji – My song tittle BA WA NBE was my second song that I drop after my birthday last year and with God mercy I featured Damba Jay , Leke Lee, Coli Yankee produced it and God is the surest promoter and I know he has been good to me and he will continue to be good to me by pushing the song.
ZagaEmpire – How do you handle your fans?
WF DJ Harji – They have actually been great with their support, my fans both male and females is the reason I get up to the studio to make big jams. I love them so much both male and female. Thank u so much, I appreciate it, “Harji Lamba” family.
ZagaEmpire – Do you have a role model in the entertainment world?
WF DJ Harji – My role model is WF DJ HARJI (smile) because in the music industry I want to be myself but also all the entertainers are of Good impact in one way or the other.so that why I look up to God for better achievement.
ZagaEmpire – How does your parents and girlfriend cope with the fact that you are always out in the dead of night?
WF DJ Harji – (laughing) my first girlfriend is my job, but also I respect my parent a lot. there are some night shows that I will have to go but all because I don’t want to disappoint my fans I have to be there and what my parent usually say is that I will go in peace and come back in peace (Amen) and also its not that easy but all praise be to God, we moving.
ZagaEmpire – Tell us few names of artiste and producers you have worked with.
WF DJ Harji – I have worked with Beerex (producer), Coli Yankee (producer), Crespin (producer), Damba Jay (artiste), Leke Lee (artist), Alabere (artiste), Yinkhalifa (artiste), MC Ice water (comedian) e.t.c and also looking forward to work around the global producer, artist and mc’s by God grace.
ZagaEmpire – In closing, tell us something about any projects and ideas you have in store or are already working on?
WF DJ Harji – Yea there are so many project have been aspiring to do, but with the help of God blessing I will be able to carry it on. Like concert, giving out shelter to the poor, e.t.c by God grace.
