I Don’t Need Noise To Stay Relevant – Aramide

April 6, 2019

Afro-soul/jazz music singer, Aramide Sarumoh, better known as Aramide needs nothing more to stay relevant on the Nigerian music scene because since her debut, she has continued to distinguish herself with a unique brand of music equal to none.

Aramide Speaking with Showtime, the ‘Fun mi lowo’ crooner boasted that though she may not be making popular music, she doesn’t need to make noise about herself to stay relevant.

“I do what I have to do to be out there, I’m not really a clout chaser. Most times I’m in and out of the country, either playing at international festivals, shows or dedicating my time to adding value to my career or being better at my craft.

My work speaks for itself when it’s time. And honestly, I don’t think it’s by the noise you make but by the quality of work you deliver.

I have sat with a lot of international superstars to understand this.”She added that consistency and the quality of music she makes has been the secret of her relevance.

“Consistency has played a major part/role in sustaining my brand; being Aramide, making the type of music that I make, hard work and commitment.” Speaking further, she shared her take on the quality of music making waves now.

“I think everyone is doing what they need to do to stay relevant. To each his own; do what you’re comfortable with, create a vibe and make people happy. And I’m all for that.

I celebrate everyone and wish them the best just as I wish myself”, she concluded.
