DMW act, Dremo recounted how he met his fellow labelmate and friend, Mayorkun.
Dremo recently started a ‘Who is your guy’ challenge on his Social media platform to celebrate friendships and his song of the same name.
He shared the inspiring story of how he met Mayorkun in Davido’s house four years ago.
According to him, he had just enter Lagos from Ibadan to meet Davido to collaborate with him and was introduced to Mayorkun who was about to be signed then to DMW.
He said that they made four songs the same day and Mayorkun kept talking about how he wished Davido could sign him (Dremo) to DMW which eventually happened.
In His words;
“I met this nigga right here 4 years ago, the first day I met @iammayorkun was in @davidoofficial house , I had just got into Lagos from ibadan , @sirbanko told me he was the artiste Davido was about to sign .
Was so happy for him cos I knew how big of a deal signing under Davido was , on the same day we made 4 songs, but at that time me I was looking for just a verse from Davido so I could ginger my music career, this guy was always talking about “how I wish David could sign you too” and it eventually happened 😂🙏🏽,
What I have learnt from him is money will finish, fame will wear off but people will still be very much around so never let the fame get to your head cos the journey is still far ahead of us! people don’t advice people anymore these days ,but many times we’ll be on the phone for hours talking about how to make this hustle make us get to the next level we dreaming of ,he is a short wise man(aka okpollo ti poju 😂), has always supported me for 4 years and still counting .
