AY Covenant Shares His Biography, Music Career and Personal Life

Adeyemi Imoleayo Joseph, popularly known as AY Covenant, is a Nigerian gospel musician, recording artist and live band performer with about 20 years of professional stage experience. He leads the Melody Makers Band and has performed at corporate events, church programmes and other major gatherings.

Born on October 2 in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, AY Covenant grew up as the youngest of five children in a Christian family. He studied Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

AY Covenant began his professional music career about 20 years ago, although music had been part of his life for much longer. He released his debut album in 2017, followed by a second project in 2023.

On July 19, 2026, he celebrated 20 years on stage with an anniversary concert titled 2 Decades of Excellence. He later released his third studio album, Divine Favor, on August 1, 2026.

Beyond music, AY Covenant is a husband and father of four sons. He married his wife on August 1, 2024, after meeting her in 2018 and getting engaged in 2019.

AY Covenant credits his journey and achievements to God’s grace. He sees music as a calling to inspire people, entertain audiences and give glory to God, while remaining focused on the next chapter of his career.
