K2 WonderBoi Announces Upcoming EP “Before The Crown” (Drops May 22, 2026)

May 11, 2026

Nigerian Afrobeat artist K2 WonderBoi is set to release a deeply motivational project titled “Before The Crown”, officially scheduled to drop on May 22, 2026.

The upcoming EP is already gaining attention because of the powerful story behind it. It is not just a music project—it is a reflection of real-life pain, survival, faith, and determination.

“Before The Crown” tells the journey of an artist who has faced unimaginable struggles, including loss, hardship, and moments of loneliness. Through it all, K2 WonderBoi held on to one thing—faith and belief that his story is not over.

The inspiration behind this project comes from deeply personal experiences. One of the strongest influences in his journey was his late uncle, Idris Adekunle, who believed in his music dream even in his lowest moment. Despite financial struggles, he still supported K2 WonderBoi’s vision, a memory that continues to push him forward.

Life later became even more difficult as he suffered the painful loss of his mother, followed by his younger sister. These moments forced him into a long period of reflection, survival, and rebuilding. But instead of giving up, he turned his pain into music.

Now, “Before The Crown” represents everything that happens before success is seen—the struggle, the silence, the tears, and the growth that nobody sees.

The EP will feature 7 tracks, including the previously released song Ise Oluwa, blending Afrobeat sounds with emotional storytelling and street energy.

📅 Release Date: May 22, 2026
