ZagaEmpire: Can you introduce yourself to our readers? (Tell us your name, background, and how you got into graphic design.)
LilSnazzy Creationz: My name is Stanley Ossai Emekene. I was born on November 3rd, 1998. I’m from Delta State, Ukwuani Local Government Area, Ezionum. I was born and brought up in Ikorodu, Lagos State, and I am a past student of LASPOTECH, now known as LASUTECH.
I got into graphic design through photography. I started by editing people’s pictures and changing the backgrounds to make them look more unique and beautiful. As I got more interested in editing, I started learning about graphic design. I searched online, watched lots of videos and tutorials on how to become a good graphic designer, and kept practicing everything I learned. I eventually found passion in it, and that’s how I got into graphic design.
ZagaEmpire: What inspired you to pursue a career in graphic design?
LilSnazzy Creationz: I was inspired by my own creativity. I like to create new things, new ideas, new designs, and lots more. So yes, I was inspired by my own creativity.
ZagaEmpire: How would you describe your design style, and what makes it unique?
LilSnazzy Creationz: I’ll describe my design style as being based on my creative ideas. I follow the details and information from the client’s request, then I add my own creative ideas to make the design unique and come out nice.
ZagaEmpire: What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced in your journey as a graphic designer?
LilSnazzy Creationz: As a graphic designer, one of the biggest challenges I have faced is being rejected or denied the opportunity to create a better design. Sometimes, when trying to create a big design for a client, I end up not meeting their taste.
ZagaEmpire: Can you tell us about some of your most notable projects or clients?
LilSnazzy Creationz: I have worked for so many brands, especially lounges and clubs, and I still want to do more.
ZagaEmpire: How do you stay updated with design trends and evolving technology in the industry?
LilSnazzy Creationz: Well, I don’t follow trends. I just like to work and give my clients what they need.
ZagaEmpire: What tools and software do you use for your designs, and why?
LilSnazzy Creationz: Adobe Photoshop, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects. I love using them.
ZagaEmpire: Where do you draw inspiration from when working on new designs?
LilSnazzy Creationz: Sometimes, I just like to think outside the box. Although I also check online to get more inspiration.
ZagaEmpire: Do you specialize in a particular type of design (e.g., branding, motion graphics, UI/UX), or do you work across different areas?
LilSnazzy Creationz: Apart from graphic design, I also do branding and motion graphics.
ZagaEmpire: What’s your creative process like from start to finish when working on a project?
LilSnazzy Creationz: It actually depends on the client’s description.
ZagaEmpire: What advice do you have for upcoming designers who want to build a successful career in graphic design?
LilSnazzy Creationz: Keep promoting yourself even if your post gets 10 likes and 0 comments. Somebody saw it. And be humble, be loyal, be kind, but don’t be stupid.
ZagaEmpire: Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations we should look out for?
LilSnazzy Creationz: I have some upcoming projects and collaborations I am still working on. I know God will do His doings because it’s not actually easy to get to the top.
ZagaEmpire: How do you handle difficult clients or situations where your creative vision clashes with a client’s request?
LilSnazzy Creationz: Well, let me say Alhamdulillah for everything because some clients actually stress me when it comes to creativity.
I once worked for a client who said she needed something simple and classy.
You won’t believe that after sending the job to her, her response was, “Ah! The job is too classy and sharp, I don’t think I like it.”
She then said, “Please, can you reduce it?” Omo! I wanted to go crazy that day.
ZagaEmpire: What’s one project you’ve worked on that you’re most proud of, and why?
LilSnazzy Creationz: Well, I will say I’m always proud of all my productions. All my projects are top-notch and unique. I love them, and I also love my profession.
