Portable Explains His Issues with Olamide: “He Helped Me Halfway”

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has opened up about his issues with Nigerian rapper and music executive Olamide.

In a candid interview, Portable revealed that his beef with Olamide stems from the rapper’s decision to only offer him a verse on the 2021 remix of ‘Zazu’ rather than providing more significant support when he was still rising in the industry.

During his chat on EchoRoom, the ‘Zazu’ crooner expressed his admiration for British rapper Skepta, saying the international star did much more for him than just collaborate on music.

He stated:

 

“I can’t drag Skepta because he hold my hand, Olamide didn’t hold my hand, he gave me a verse on ‘Zazu’ and left me without a management. He can’t sign me now because I’m now a global superstar.”

Portable also accused Olamide of “snatching” his producer, dancer, and promoter, but the rapper has not addressed these allegations.
