The wait is over! Tems’ highly anticipated debut album, “Born In The Wild,” is finally here. This 18-track project features collaborations with Asake on “Get It Right” and J. Cole on “Free Fall,” offering a diverse musical experience.
“Born In The Wild” is a deeply personal journey for Tems, reflecting on self-doubt, self-discovery, and self-trust. She describes it as a new way of expressing herself while centering on her identity and growth.
Musically, the album defies genre boundaries, blending R&B, Afrobeats, and amapiano. It includes a reimagined version of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 hit, “Love Me JeJe,” presented as a contemporary track.
Tems has been building anticipation for the album with performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and a captivating Tiny Desk concert, showcasing tracks like “Me & U,” “Ice T,” and “Forever.”
This new chapter in Tems’ career promises raw vulnerability, sonic exploration, and a powerful spirit ready to conquer the world.
