Arsh Takes Us on a Sonic Journey with “Violet Mixtape”

The future of Afrobeats continues to shine brightly as various artists distinct in sound and vocals start to emerge. One artist who has shown versatility is Ibrahim Sosanwo. Ibrahim Sosanwo, popularly known as Arsh, is a Nigerian rapper and singer who delivers a unique blend of Afrobeats and hip-hop.

This 24-year-old singer has carved out a name for himself in his city with his debut mixtape, “Violet“, which conveys his experiences, mood, and emotions in a way that draws listeners into his world. While defining his sound as colorful and ethereal, a particular strength of his is his ability to shape his lyrics with catchy melodies.

This mixtape features guitar, piano, and percussive drums, making it an amazing work of art. The mixtape was written in Houston, a city in Texas. Arsh has been likened to Wizkid, Omah Lay, and Joeboy both lyrically and vocally, and he is also known for his hits and bangers.
