Venture Garden Group is rapidly changing the landscape of Fintech in Nigeria and even Kenya. Bunmi Akinyemiju, the ebullient MD/CEO of Venture Garden Group is an individual that is driven to improve the fortunes of the African economy.

In a private chat with the staff of the company, Mr Akinyemiju urged them to do more in their efforts in two areas: to improve the lapses in payment processes across Africa and reduce the cost incurred when money is to be wired across nations. He reiterated the aim of the Venture Garden Group is to drive diverse Fintech solutions in Africa, for all, not just politicians, to enjoy,  using innovative and efficient technology platforms.

Venture Garden Group is suspected to have successfully incubated more than three indigenous companies and invested in almost 25 Fintech startups in just under 6 years of operations, a feat that is unsurpassed by any other private institution.

These investments and financial backings have yielded over 5x portfolio returns and these successes are symbols of the resilience and tenacity of Nigerians to thrive despite the seemingly insurmountable odds.

Akinyemiju has hosted the United States Ambassador to Nigeria William Stuart Symington who remarked that he was pleased with the enviable achievements made by the Venture Garden Group as he tasked the company to do more to leverage powerful technology in providing solutions to the peculiar problems besetting the African business sphere.

The ambassador said this during the unveiling of the Venture Garden Group office space, Vibranium Valley. The world-class office space aptly dubbed “Vibranium Valley” provides a viable ecosystem for African entrepreneurs to thrive in, creating more employment opportunities.
