Nigerian Musician and Politician, Banky W has finally replied Samklef with a stern warning.
It would be recalled that Samklef called out Banky W over unpaid royalties from Wizkid’s Superstar album. He alleged that Banky W and his EME team ripped him off and Banky W was yet to pay him 11-years royalties. (READ HERE)
In a video on Samklef‘s IG page, he also accused Banky of removing his name from Wizkid’s Pakurumo song. When his followers demanded for proof, Samklef took a screenshot of Songview with claims that Banky removed his name and put Steve Micheal as composer of Pakurumo when he is the real producer and composer.
“Nigerians make una see o!! Dey took my name off and put Steve Micheal. As a composer for Nakuru. @bankywellington how far now? How did we get to this? Dm me ur email bro. No time to play. Let’s fix things and move on. @sonymusic @sonymusicafrica”
Reacting to his accusation, Banky W informed Samklef that he has no business with Pakurumo or Wizkid’s Royalties.
According to Banky, he has never controlled the royalties and Samklef should take this matter up with the person controlling it.
Banky W also informed Nigerians that he and EME can never receive Wizkid’s royalties due to reasons he can’t disclose. He concluded by warning Samklef to stop dragging and talking about him because he is not in charge.
“@samklef I don’t think you understand that my name is not there and was NEVER there. EME’S name is not there. We have never taken a dime of these royalties and never will. We have never controlled them. You need to take this up with whoever is controlling this and for goodness sake stop talking about me. I’m not the one in charge. I’m minding my business, please handle yours. “
