Nigerian musician, actor and politician, Olubankole Wellington has finally opened up about his contract with Wizkid.
In an interview with Bounce TV, he revealed that Wizkid‘s contract was a five-album deal in which he only delivered two albums.
“It was a 5 album deal in the beginning and he had done two. The ‘Superstar’ album and ‘AYO’. He still owes EME three albums“, he said.
Banky W also revealed that he didn’t want the case to drag out for long and that was one of the reasons he let Wizkid go even after breaching the contract.
He added that it was pretty obvious Wizkid wanted to go, so he couldn’t force him to stay thereby creating animosity or resentment.
This comes 9 years after Wizkid left Banky W’s record label. According to Wizkid, he left with zero naira and his friends and manager can attest to this.
