Over the last week of March into April 2022, OBODO Restaurant & Lounge treated the city of Ilorin to her soft & grand opening. The management & staff were at the helm of their new restaurant & lounge, serving a gently curated menu of African, Continental & Street Foods, and every now and then turning grills and barbecue and serving glasses of perfect drink mixtures from their open lounge. Now city dwellers and visitors are streaming into the spot at No. 255 Ibrahim Taiwo Road, near Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.
At the Soft Opening event, a 5-course meal dinner event which was held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, and hosted by comedian Oyas Baba, the CEO – Mr Stanley Chukwu made known the rationale behind OBODO Restaurant & Lounge Ilorin as a place where they “combine both African & Continental Cuisines in the best of ambiance. So the dream is to make this place one of the best relaxation centres when it comes to luxury in society, we want to be the best”. This event was well attended by influential figures in the city of Ilorin including Sola Rahman, Toba Adeyeye, Lanre Habeeb, Opeyemi Ashipa, Tosin Opaleke among others
The Grand Opening event and full launch of operations at OBODO Restaurant & Lounge began on Friday, April 1, 2022. This day attracted many to be the first set of people to experience the place. There was fun & music provided by DJ Romeo & hype man Captain Fadolee, body arts, amazing discounts on certain foods and a strategic partnership with the Nigerian Breweries for discounts on their product as well.
OBODO Restaurant & Lounge is further described as an exclusive yet casual, sophisticated yet family-friendly restaurant and lounge. The menu includes Rice Dishes, Beans Dishes, Salad Dishes, Pasta Dishes, Noodles Dishes, Swallow & Soup Dishes, Grills & Barbecue, Burgers, Sandwiches & Snacks and a drinks menu that contains a variety of Champagne, Tequila & Cognac, Whiskey, Vodka, Liquor, Rum, Brandy & Gin, Non-Alcoholic Wine, White Wine, Red Wine, Bitters, Beer, Energy Drink, Juice, Malt & Sodas, Cocktails, Shooters & Mocktails, Milkshakes & Smoothies.
The restaurant is open from 11AM – 10PM from Mondays to Saturdays, while the open lounge is open from 11AM – Midnight. On Sundays, the restaurant & lounge is open from 2PM.
