Davido’s Shopping Spree has begun setting records out the gate.
The explosive new visual for the song saw 1.1 million views on Youtube in less than 24 hours following its release.
After fans eagerly anticipated the new video from Davido, he finally shared the video on the popular streaming platform at exactly 4 pm on Friday. In less than 24 hours, the song not only gained a million views but is also the #1 trending song on Apple Music, Nigeria iTunes effortlessly knocking out Wizkid’s Essence.
This is not the first time Davido has dazzled music lovers with his impressive achievements. You would recall in 2020, Davido broke his previous record when “FEM” hit over 1 million views in 7 hours and in 2019 when ‘Blow My Mind’ hit a million views in 10 hours making Davido the first artist to achieve such a feat.
Shopping Spree is the eight-track off Davido’s third studio album, “A better time”. It was released in 2020 and the visual of the song dropped in July 2021. The music video featured popular American artistes Chris Brown and Young Thug. This is Davido’s third song with Chris Brown, the first is Blow My Mind and the second is Lower Your Body both released in 2019.
