#June12thProtest: Wizkid Under Fire For Celebrating 10 Years Of His Debut Album, “Superstar” Amidst The June 12 Protest.

Nigerian Singer, Wizkid is celebrating his iconic ‘Superstar‘ album, which turns 10 years old today.

Superstar was Wizkid’s Debut Studio album and it was released on the 12 of June (Democracy day) in 2011. The album which consist of 17 tracks, featured some of his biggest hit songs like; ‘Holla At Boy‘, ‘Pakurumo‘, ‘Tease Me‘ and ‘Don’t Dull‘, and artistes; Wande Coal, D’Prince, Banky W and Skales.

So far, no album in Nigeria has come close to extinguishing the fire his album lit in the hearts of music lovers. It was the best selling Afrobeat album, selling over five millions copies in 2011-2012.

Amid the Nigerian Democracy day celebrations and the ongoing June 12 protest, Wizkid Took to Twitter to celebrate the Milestone. He retweeted some of the posts of his fans who were diligently celebrating the album.

As expected, some tweeps have bashed the singer for celebrating the album amidst the protest. Many are calling him out for slamming Reekado Banks When he announced their Song last during the Endsars Protest, while he is also guilty of the same offense with his Superstar Album.
