Sarkodie Sends Strongly Worded Message To Stonebwoy Over Assault

August 20, 2020

Ghana’s iconic rapper, Sarkodie has finally broken his silence over the infamous assault of his manager by Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.

Recall that before Sarkodie’s historic Black Love Virtual concert, news went viral that Stonebwoy has assaulted Angel Town aka Angelo for allegedly treating him badly.

According to the information which surfaced on social media, Stonebwoy wasn’t happy about the kind of treatment meted out to him when he got to Sarkodie’s residence for rehearsals ahead of the Black Love Virtual Concert.

The story has it that Stonebwoy was very annoyed that he wasn’t allowed to pack at a particular spot, yet Shatta Wale was allowed to pack at the same spot he was denied earlier.

This made him angry and confronted the organizers (herein Angel Town). He also complained that other artistes were made to park at the ‘forbidden’ place yet a big star like him was denied that privilege.

Addressing the issue for the first time, Sarkodie sent a strongly worded message to Stonebwoy for disrespecting him by assaulting his manager, no matter how he was ‘provoked.’ Sarkodie said: ‘So, the long and short of the story is that, yes, my brother did him my manager and I am here to confirm and condemn the act and let him know that I am extremely disappointed…,”

Sarkodie said.

My brother has every reason to be mad, he could have chosen to insult Angelo or even myself, scream and just move his car and go, and trust me he knows I will even call him and go and apologise. Not because I have to, but I never want bad blood and I think it is unnecessary.

This time I didn’t take that rout because my brother went overboard and I think it is the highest level of disrespect no matter what happened because I have been at his concerts and he has no idea how I get there or what I go through to get on that stage cos I understand the job

I know there is no way Stonebwoy and his management would want to disrespect me intentionally. Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has already apologized for the act which occurred at the recording of Sarkodie’s Black Love Virtual concert. He also stressed that there were no firearms or knives involved in the attack.
