FG Abandons Hushpuppi After Arrest In Dubai (DETAILS)

A source in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has revealed that the Federal Government may not provide support for Malaysia-based Nigerian socialite, Hushpuppi, who was arrested in Dubai over a $35million fraud.

The source in chat with QED.ng said the Federal Government does not want to get involved in the matter and also confirmed that Hushpuppi was arrested, adding that thhe EFCC might not make an official statement on the issue as it is between Hushpuppi and the United States.

Kemi Filani News recounts that Hushpuppi, whose real name is Raymond Igbalodely, and his friends simply identified as Woodberry and Efe, were on Tuesday arrested by the Interpol in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for allegedly defrauding an American state of $35 million meant for ventilators in the fight against the coronavirus.

The Nigerian is believed to have been moved to the United States for possible prosecution.
