Top 10 Music Videos Of The Year 2019 (No. 7 Make Sense Die)

This year 2019, lots of musical video were released for the viewing pleasure of music lovers.

While some of the videos released this year were rushed works and didn’t come out good enough, we cannot but acknowledge some videos that are just too dope this year.

Kudos to the video directors that worked on these dope videos this year.

In no particular order, here are our Top 10 Music Videos Of The Year 2019:-

1. Rudeboy – Audio Money

Without Sentiments Rudeboy has had a fantastic 2019 with the huge numbers his music collections are doing since he went solo.

Audio Money is an undeniable solid effort that deserves a befitting visuals.

King Rudy featured and introduced Ghana social media self acclaimed billionaire Shatta Bandle who’s always flaunting money and cars on Instagram.

Our generation tends to fan the flames of dishonesty, Fake Life And Fast Lane.

In the video, Rudeboy played a Firefighter role seeking to extinguish those he deemed guilty of flaunting Audio Money.

The comedy infused video was shot by Clarence Peters and Co – Directed By Jude Okoye.

2. Burna Boy – Dangote

Burna Boy‘s visuals to his year-opening single, “Dangote” was one creative conscious look into unemployment and poverty problems in the country.

The visuals begins with a statistic about unemployment and the quote, “The richest man in Africa still goes to work every morning”.

What follows is a tale of people from all walks of life striving to make ends meet in their day-to-day activities.

Directed by Clarence Peters, the video won the Headies 2019 Award for Best Music Video.

3. Tekno – Skeletun

Skeletun” by Tekno is actually a hit track for all night club and you will definitely want to move your body with the rhythm.

The music video is certainly one of the top music videos in 2019.

From the concept to the delivery, the director “TG Omori” is indeed a very creative wizard.

The opening act of the video is in an old school beer scene with people having fun and probably in a dancing competition.

The dancers in the video plus Tekno are nothing but a major vibe and this will make you want to watch the video again and again.

4. Davido Ft. Chris Brown – Blow My Mind

Blow My Mind video came out rich and eventful one, with its guest act Chris Brown, whose sound did justice to his verses and dance moves particularly made for the project.

Davido not forgetting the beautiful models whose beautiful appearances brought life to the project with their well-practiced dance moves making its observers get addicted to its rhythm.

Racking up over 34 million views on Youtube, blow my mind visual is unquestionably one of the top-rated videos this year.

5. Teni – Billionaire

Billionaire by Teni sends a great message to the fans. The video wouldn’t have gained such huge reception if the audio had not been a super hit.

Teni who has forcefully fixed herself into the categories of top artistes in the country wowed many with the visuals of Billionaire

The video was widely received as the whole concept used were easily related to, by almost all the lovers of music videos.

That Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Theme and Frank Edoho presence killed it.

Billionaire video is a contender for the video of the year with a massive YouTube views of 1million, the video further cements the singer as the new generation queen of music in the country.

6. Adekunle Gold Ft Simi – Promise

Promise we all know is an Afro-alternative song. It contains lyrics from both Adekunle Gold and his newly wedded wife, Simisola.

The song talks about the deep love the exist between the duo. Justice was done on the video showing a wedding sense and the two confessing their much affectionate love to each other.

What perfect video can best describe a perfect wedding being held at the beach. The PR for this video was what stunned me.

At first people thought the video was just a visual for the duo’s song PROMISE, but never knew the video doubled as a visual to tell the world that they are now a couple.

The melody of the song wasn’t bad, tuneful and memorable. It also did well to blend with the rhythm of the song to produce a pleasant harmony.

The video gallantly having over 3 million views on YouTube shows that the couple are still very much relevant in the music scene.

7. Small Doctor – Believe

This video was definately the most talked about video this year. It’s been a long time the industry witnessed this quality of video from a street act.

The entire video is just too captivating to watch. From the costume to the dance choreography and of course that mad intro where Small Doctor was driving a van on the high-way.

Also the choice of location for the video resonates very well with the costume.

Music video director, “The Alien” did a very wonderful job on the video productions and of course Small Doctor himself input a whole lots of energy in it.

8. Naira Marley – Soapy

Apart from being the most-controversial and highly expected video of 2019, Naira Marely‘s “Soapy” video is no doubt a creative piece.

The video gave us the perfect visual description of NM‘s day-to-day life while he was rock n rolling in the Anti-graft custody.

With the prison concept, costume and choice of people who appeared in the video, music video director, TG-Omori aka Boy Director did very well with whole concept of the video.

It might interest you to know that Naira Marley‘s SOAPY video peaked No. 1 trending video on YouTube for several weeks after it was released.

9. Olamide, Wizkid & ID Cabasa – Totori

Again Olamide and Wizkid display their professionalism in their craft as they both bounced on a hit jam by Evergreen Producer ID Cabasa titled Totori

Totori video was shot and directed in Lagos by the in-demand videographer, TG Omori, director of the ‘Am I a Yahoo boy’ video.

The music video appears to have a plain theme/concept: A live Broadcast named after the song itself. A live Broadcast named after the song itself.

The broadcast then finally started as Olamide and Wizkid took turns in delivering their respective verses on the song to the eager audience.

It was not long before the spirit of jubilation came upon both the children and adults present at the venue of the broadcast, as they appeared to b,e very pleased with the message of the much-anticipated broadcast.

The video produced some stunning visuals even though most of the scenes were shot at night. Over all, the concept behind the video and it’s delivery was well executed.

Presently the video has 5.8m views on YouTube.

10. Naira Marley Ft. Zlatan – Am I A Yahoo Boy

This list will be incomplete without this controversial video.

The concept of this video is so dope to the extent that EFCC had no other choice than to arrest Naira Marley, Zlatan, Rahman Jago and co after its release.

Not because they showed that they are Yahoo Boys, but the concept of the video showed EFCC what to do in the midst of controversies about whether Naira Marley is a Yahoo Boy or not.

The armour tank costumes, arrest scenes made the video worth everyone’s data at that time.
