There is a new update regarding Tyla’s A*POP World Tour and her planned concert in Lagos, Nigeria.
The South African singer is reportedly no longer scheduled to perform in Lagos after the Nigerian date was removed from the official tour schedule. The Lagos show was originally announced as part of her 34-date A*POP World Tour, supporting her second studio album, A*POP, and was expected to hold on December 22, 2026, as the first African stop on the tour.
The change comes after fans noticed that the Lagos date was no longer listed on Tyla’s official tour itinerary. In recent days, social media discussions had also called for a boycott of the concert over diplomatic visa issues and reported xenophobic incidents involving Nigerians in South Africa. However, there is no confirmation that these discussions are connected to the removal of the Lagos show.
As of the time of writing, neither Tyla nor her management has released an official statement explaining why the Lagos date was removed, and there has been no formal announcement confirming that the concert has been cancelled.
For now, the A*POP World Tour is still expected to continue across Europe, North America, and Africa, with Cape Town and Johannesburg remaining on the current tour schedule.
