Manchester City Announce Phil Foden’s New Contract Until 2030

Manchester City have confirmed that Phil Foden has signed a new long-term contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2030.

The new four-year extension shows the club’s confidence in one of its most successful academy graduates and puts an end to recent rumours about his future. Foden, who joined Manchester City’s academy at a young age and made his first-team debut in 2017, said he is happy to continue his journey with his boyhood club.

Speaking after signing the new deal, the England international said he is looking forward to working under new head coach Enzo Maresca and believes the squad is still motivated to achieve more success.

He said:

“I am delighted to extend my stay at this incredible club. Manchester City is my home, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together in the years ahead. Everyone here is hungry for more success, and I want to help the team win even more trophies.”

The 26-year-old has made over 400 appearances for Manchester City, winning six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League trophy, three FA Cups and several other major honours during his time with the club.

Although Foden had a challenging 2025–26 season and was left out of England’s FIFA World Cup squad, Manchester City believe he will remain an important part of the team’s plans heading into the new campaign.
