Wizkid Wins At 2021 MTV Video Music Awards

Another win for Big Wiz…

Grammy award-winning artiste, Wizkid has bagged another award for his effort on Beyoncé’s ‘Brown Skin Girl‘.

The song won the best cinematography award for the year at the just concluded 2021 Video Music Awards held today, September 13, at the Barclays Center, New York, United States.

Wizkid knocked out his new bestie, Justin Bieber whose music video for Holy was nominated under the same category. Brown Skin Girl also beat Billie Eilish’s Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga and Lorde whose videos appeared in the category of Best Cinematography.

Brown Skin Girl is a track off Beyoncé’s 2019 soundtrack album, The Lion King:The Gift. The music video was released in 2020 and the cinematographers on the project are Benoit Soler, Malik H. Sayeed, Mohammed Atta Ahmed, Santiago Gonzalez, Ryan Helfant.
